Hi Guys
Being old enought to have had a ford cortina mk1 as a first car I have been on many forums, I must say that only recently having been sold a lemon of a Feelander I have found this forum to be informative and helpful with out the usual BS of the ones that think they know.
My Wifes freelander has so far blown turbo hoses, done the no power under low revs and emmisions light coming on, the rear grind on turnig (still to fix). I seemed to have cured the low power thing by 3 bottles of redx injector cleaner, and an exhaust cleaner (all on offer at Tesco for £2 and £4 currently) a full oil change and a run to Portsmouth @130 miles it was so bad the car cut out twice on hills, not good when you live 1000 ft up.
I have noted the EGR removal tips and have one ready to fit. I hope I can be of assistance to members in the future as i do know my way round an engine. Many thanks fro all the info

HI
a 65 FL1TD4with fl2 i think with 130k on it I was thiking of the prop up to bell for testing the garage i bought it from thought it was a wheel bearing and changed the N/S but it's still rubbing and now has a knock in the suspension so wont go back there

I have found that there are a collection of faults that seel to circulate around the TD4 and I have most of them ( Thought my Saab was bad enough):confused::confused:

ok Guys done the EGR removal, Great Loads more botton end torque I have a new fault now seem to be getting a buzzing from the rail pressure sensor when i turn it off and some times when ignition on to start it buzzes , drives great but every now and again is a cow to start when warm (foot to the floor seems to do it but hit and miss but never not started ) am i loosing a pressure sensor ??? I have seen the other posts but none of them mention a buzzing !!!
