Hello all,

I'm Ben from Nottingham, Ive had my Series III few weeks but not driven that much of her due to pesky electrical gremlins... (many many questions to come with that one!)

Cheers

Those things only have a yard of wiring. Cant be too bad. Welcome.

Well this was my thinking, however it appears that a number of people over the years have done the kind deed of taking it upon themselves to chop and change things and it ain't quite factory original anymore to say the least!

The main problem at the moment I believe is either alternator or battery issues and starting issues!

She only wants to start off a jump form another vehicle, with out this there is nothing but a click from the starter solenoid (the starter motor is a brand new unit recently been replaced).

Giving the battery a poke with the mulitmeter it gives a reading of 12V, however when trying to crank over without a jump this drops to around 4 or 5V. when it finally gets running all gauges work fine but after about 20 mins or so of running they begin to fluctuate also the lights start off bright and slowly begin to dim.

Any advice is more than welcome!!

Right then on that note...
Cheap battery anyone? Don't fancy paying Halfrauds prices (even with the trusty trade discount card!!)
