I fitted the winter rubber today. It is not that wet and muddy yet so I am probably a few weeks early, but I had to see what they were like after seeing them on the rims.

They are Malatesta Cobra's 265/75/16

I have had to trim the front mud flaps to stop some rubbing on hard lock, but they seem to fit pretty well. I found the nearest high bank to get some good articulation, and they rub slightly at full articulation.

I have locked in normal driving mode so I don't drop to the motorway setting, but did test it moving around on the stops and it doesn't sit on the tyres so I would probably be fine. My theory is, if it is getting uncomfortable due to roll etc, I am on the verge of losing grip and need to back off.

I will hopefully get them somewhere wet and muddy this weekend to see how I get on.

Little OTT for tarmac ! lol

;) I recon the roads get pretty muddy sometimes

It only goes about 4 - 5 miles a day on the road. The rest of the time it is in fields and lanes. I always get excited about putting the muds on, but by end of March I can't wait to take them off again and get the road rubber back on.
