Hi all new to all of this forum stuff so a big hello I've got a series 2a 1965 which I love to bits it's very full of charm so to speak and also loosing water out of the overflow pipe I've fitted new cap and have checked oil etc which all seems fine next step thermostat ?? Any ideas of advice I'll love you for ever cheers

Hi and welcome to fraternity!
My thoughts are head gasket failed. Usually get steam out the exhaust with this though, white and doesn't fade away. There is a little device that tests the coolant for hydro carbons you could get hold of or a friendly garage may do the test for free.
