Hi all, i have a 1993 defender v8. i wanted to buy some 18inch alloys for it, but i don't know what adapter i need to make them fit. please could anyone help

What alloys were you thinking of cos that'll tell which spacer / adapter you need. More information required...

In that case the stud spacing should be suitable. The reason it says 1994 onwards is that alloys often don't have much clearance in the middle and won't sit flat against the drum brakes fitted to the rear until about 1993. If you have discs on the rear it shouldn't be a problem but if yours was one of the last drum braked ones then spacers might solve your problem. Just a standard defender-compatible wheel spacer should do it, to get the wheel far enough away from the drum so as not to foul it.

I have 18" Alloys they needed no adaptor, they were boost style and sold on Ebay. Bought 5 of them 7 years ago c/w tyres and nuts for £500 but I see that now the wheels alone cost £500
