Think I'm looking to replace my 90 with a 110 but not sure about this change from from 2.4 to 2.2 engine?

I had no bother with my 2.4, it pulled like a train with plenty pulling power.

I've seen a few comments on the new engines, but has anybody actually got one yet after having a 2.4

Ie anybody experienced the differences (if any) first hand?

Wondering whether to get a near new 2.4 instead of a brany?
 
im thinking the same but upgrading to a 130.
apart from a few people reporting their turbo hose coming off due to rubbish factory clips thats it....

no i am not puging or spaming but i have found this forum useless for the newer 2.4 engine.
sorry not having a dig, i love looking at any defenders so thats why i like it on here before anyone asks.....
 
I have a 2012 110 SW with the 2.2 and I have no complaints. As it is new I only have 1000 km on it but so far it runs like a champ. It is a bit diesels sounding like a truck/lorry but it fits the character of the defender.
 
I bough a 2012 90 xs at the end of jan, just covered 3000 miles. Turbo pipe came loose on the m55 about two weeks ago, aa fixed in five minutes, poor design no flange etc. Just been back to Stratstone today for severe lag problems when accelarating after coasting. Problem solved. apart from these two niggles brilliant.Performance is very good, not far off three figure speedo reading (on a track of course)
