Hello team
I just bought a non-MOT 110 V8 from ebay. It needs some chassis welding or possibly a new chassis - will see when I get it home, hopefully this week.

Its a 110 V8 Hard Top. I plan to convert it back to 3 front seats for a little more practicality, and fit out the rear for securing mountain bikes for days out. Primarily though, what a great vehicle to burble around town!

I will probably put some windows in the rear sides for visibility, as I remember from my 88" hart top some years ago you can get into difficulty at some junctions unless you plan the approach angle.

Get good security fitted, it's a must, especially if you get your chassis changed

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

I will add a cat 1 immobiliser to the list. I have been searching the forum and for the rear side windows I found the advice on Landyglass and Masai - both of which look good.

I also would like to fit 2 forward facing seats in the rear for occasional use. I plan to get some with built-in seat belts perhaps from a minibus. I am still scouring the forum for discussions like that but that too seems do-able.

But I hope today / tomorrow to learn what is needed on the chassis. Then I will know how long before its on the road, and when the "nice to haves" can start.

I will also need to get insurance, since it wasn't originally a V8, Admiral Multicar wont consider it

I was going to wait until its on my driveway before I shared pictures of it, but since I decided to swap the chassis it looks like that will be a while yet.

Here's a pic from where I bought it.

Hopefully I will be using it by Chrimbo. Once its on the new chassis, I should be able to cope with rolling maintenance and a few minor embellishments I have in mind.
