Are you planning on welding some handles to the back of it then ???
Sorry couldnt resist
Nope. More along the lines of stripping all the carpet / interior back and drying it out, then seeing if the footwell was rotten. I suspect that the leak is caused by a blocked drain point somewhere, but I haven't had the time recently to do anything about it.
She also has some bad rust on each rear wheelarch, and on one of the jacking points. None of them look to be too difficult jobs
We bought the car, (a 98 Felicia) for £300 last year from it's original owner, who had always had it serviced at the main dealers, and to be honest, it's a pretty tidy motor all things considered.
If we were to scrap it, I think that we would really be struggling to find anything half as good, thats a very low insurance group, for simular money, and untill the standered of her driving improves by leaps and bounds, I'm loathe to buy her the MX5 or Suzuki Cappachino that she really wants.
The thing is, she has no desire to join the IAM or do any track days or Roadcraft courses, and untill she does, she's stuck with this one.
