Morning,

Need to borrow an engine crane capable of holding a 300tdi,

Failing that, point me in the right direction,

Clutch in my D1 went this morning,

Cant pay a garage £800+ to do it,

All its cost me is money since buying it.

If you cant borrow one then Speedy-hire, brandon tool hire, hss ect, between £40-£50 for a weekend hire.

Not that much more to buy one at auction etc. Then you can lend it out to the rest of us

Spent all day going over clutch system,

Slaves gone as has the master cylinder,

Parts bought and sat here twiddling my thumbs

Don't need an engine crane to change those though do you?

I got a quote of around 300quid for a disco1 300tdi clutch change from a garage down in cheddar, and they do it same day, I'm sure the HD fork is replaced as standard.

I have an engine hoist that you can borrow if you still need one? Looks like you're sorted, though?

My engine hoist is currently holding a tractor, but, I'm sure I can get it back if you still need one...
