Hello peeps

I need some real help! :(

I live in Yate nr Bristol BS37 I have a 1994 N reg 4ltr se P38 with loads of problems, I know its a P38 whats new lol. But here are my issues:-

Brakes:
ABS light and red ! light on foot peddle hard and rear brakes not working.
From what i have read the power/servo not working.

SRS
I have the srs light on

EAS
The lights on the switch all flash when i turn the ing key on then all stay on,
But the pump and valves all work, IE levels off auto.

Gearbox problem
On the dash it says "Gearbox Faut"
But it drives all ok in HI and LOW.

What have i done?
I have replaced the fuse box, Cleaned the earth under the fuse box Looked at the fuse box under the drivers seat and all seems ok.

What else can i do? I know i need to get a code reader but i cant afford the £200-£300 but i can make a very nice cup of tea, coffee or something stronger :tea:

All the best and thanks for your time
Shaun.

Shaun.
Gearbox fault, SRS & perhaps the EAS may be low battery volts/alternator.
Brakes will be the pump, pressure switch or relay.
Worth checking the fuse box for sign/smells of burning.

I doubt diagnostics would show much.
Check the big cable from the battery to the starter motor for corrosion.
The pump can be checked by jumping the pressure switch, look at RAVE for details.

Ok mate thanks will do!!!
But all seems good with the eas pump as it kicks in and out when driving and i can hear it going **** when it stops. Also the thing does not lose air, I left it for over 10 days and the air bags did not lose air (not sat on her bump stops) so some good news lol

Shaun.
I was refering to the brake pump.

Fresh battery, good fusebox?... id look to fix the ABS problem first and see if it helps with the gearbox fault.

-SRS is likely either an airbag, or the small wire that goes to the driver's seat belt receptacle..

Think seat belt warning is fitted to NAS only no wire to receptacles over here.

Fixated with the ABS aren't you?? - as this happens to be because you are trying to flog Pressure sensors to us....we have :rulez: about selling on here...suggest you sponsor the forum or become a more long standing member before you start flogging us stuff!

Good Afternoon all

Well i have got to the bottom of my brake problem!
It seems that the motor its self is ......... not working. I tolk the presser pump out and looked at just jumping the pump off a 12v battery and nothing, So i need a new/second hand motor. Thanks Datatek.

Hi all
Just an update
Striped down the abs pump and found that the brushes in the motor had bunt out, So the pump has now been replaced with one from a scraper for £70 for the hole unit. All now fitted and now all working great.

Now all I need to sort now is the EAS as all the lights flash then stay on but the eas pump is fully working and no air leaks (left of 2 week and no sagging or dropping) and the SRS

So nearly there to a FULLY working RR P38 lol.

Thanks to all for your input and if you are looking for a parts for a RR P38 4.6 hse in YATE then YATE BRAKERS have one .
