We have a L/D Freelander 3 dr 1999 Diesel.

Its grinding and heavy vibrating when reversing, and on a low speed turn either left or right with maybe as little as one turn of the wheel. My garage has told me the centre drive shaft bearing's have gone (looks like rubber rings in a metal bracket). Does anyone know someone who sells these, I have crazy quotes in for €250 each. Also need drop links and lower bearings. Thanks.

do you use it as 4x4 if not take it off from front to back = 2wd.
buy new part when you have more money? iv only done this with a petrol gaylander was ok on that .

you might need a vcu damper .

What is a VCU damper? Great prices there so thanks guys.

Was thinking the put it into 2WD but then thought was no point buying a Freelander then, miss my Mitsubishi L200 I had

But thanks again for posts, its in the garage so should know later today what is the story.
