Hi everyone,
I’ve an issue with my Defender 110 during my holidays in Scotland (I’m from Germany). Currently I’m in the near of Glencoe…is there any good Land Rover workshop which can have a look on my car? My brakes are not working properly….
Thank you and best

Do you have breakdown cover? That would be the safest option. It's not wise driving with defective brakes if you have an accident, even if it's not your fault

What do you mean by 'not working properly'?
Based on where you're currently driving, nothing to do with long descents & you're experiencing a bit of brake fade as they get a bit warm?

The first time I had no braking power, could pedal through to the bottom plate. After 1x pumping it comes again. Could still drive to the parking lot, since then even pumping no longer helped. Now in stand seems brake pressure is there. I see no fluid leaking and the tank is almost at max.

If you cannot drive your Land Rover, Lix Toll have recovery trucks.
They also recover vehicles for the AA, RAC, Greenflag etc.

I would imagine the brakes are quite easy to work on and nothing a decent garage couldn't cope with, especially in rural areas where lr's are more common.
Could even try looking for a mobile mechanic?

If your still in Glen Coe your options are Lix Toll South of you, about 1 hours drive or find a Garage in Fort William about 40 minutes drive North of you.
If your brakes are not working properly don't try and drive to Skye, there are lots of big hills on the way.

Ive found a vacation for tonight…not easy here at Fort William because a lot of vacations are booked out….
It was really strange, in the first time I’ve had to pump one time to get an effect….one kilometer after….I’ve to pump 3 times to get an effect , since then the brakes makes some noice on the front/right side, like metal on metal and at low speed with some vibration but no total brake loss anymore. The breakdown cover was not really helpful because it has no truck, so we device to drive some kilometers to vacation carefully. There are two garages which are open tomorrow, hopefully they have some parts to fix it…and time.
Not sure what’s the issue but maybe I’ve lost my break pad and I’ve to pump to compensate the loss of it???

I’ve found the issue, I lost the breaking pad
