I was asking about using the same sensor because of a post recommending I cut and solder the new wire into the old wire that is hard wired into the car.
It sounds like it may be best when I do replace the wheel hub to just cut the old wire and solder in the new wire.

That's if you are confident that you'll never have to change the hub or sensor again in this life cos then you'll have to cut and solder again...i recommended to cut and solder the existing plug to the original wire once and for all then all the sensors will be plug and play in the future no more soldering involved, that's what i did cos mine was with hardwired sensor from factory
 
^ This and you can use a special epoxy as a substitute for solder. It does not require heat unless you want it to cure faster, in which case you can use a heat gun. Here's a link -
