hey peeps need a bit of help deciding which car to go for

ive narrowed it down to the BMW X5, Range Rover or the Porsche Cayenne

obviously want to spend as little as possible

price range is from around 05-08 plate

so looking at the E53 BMW X5, the L322 Range Rover and the MK1 Porsche Cayenne

reliability is important to me more then performance

im looking at a petrol so has to be ULEZ Free

any help would be appreciated, many thanks

All I can say is any of them badly maintained will be as bad as each other.

I would pick the Range Rover.
Reasons. Always thought BMW over priced compared to Audi’s (which I found very reliable) oh and you know BMW stands for Bombay Motor Works:D
And I have always though porches belong on the front of a house :D

So there you have my non biased opinion ;) RR it is then:D

From experience, if they badly maintained.. They are all shït...
You need to find one of the one you prefer that was owned by a bm, land-rover or porche nut.. Maintained regardless of cost and was loved right upto the day it was sold... Rare but out there somewhere.
Whichever floats your boat, they are all expensive to own and run that's why they are special... Bmw... Really:eek::p

If the area you live and/or drive in is subject to flooding or standing water, do NOT get the BMW.
:)

I know I say this every time one of these kind of posts come up , but..... buy the one you like.
I will never understand asking strangers which car you should buy. It's a really personal, subjective thing.

nah i can make my own mind up its just more to gauge peeps experiences and see what sort of feedback i get tbh

lol @ bombay motor works :p

Your biggest enemy is chains, on bmw and on the lr/jag scene.. Cheap setups from new and a must is newly changed timing chain and tensioners.

Then you need to ask about Green Oval experience on here, ask about Porsche experience on Porsche forum and Beemer from beemer nuts. Your initial question was " need a bit of help deciding which car to go for", not, what is people's experience of owning any of these vehicles.

P.s you already own/ed a gaylander so, you know the thi gs that come with green oval, now all you have to do is speak to those who own the cheap version of a Range Rover, and Porsche forums. :)

A similar age Cayenne and L322 are the same price?
yea not too far off tbh

Good idea.Best to get views of those who drive each marque daily, and know the ins and outs of them. Then after you've weighed it all up

Still go for the one you like best tenor.gif
