I have a td4 2.02000 reg which has developed a juddering every now and then the only way I can explain it was if it was petrol not diesel I would say a spark plug had gone down and it missies every now and then.
this only happens on occasions but when it does it can last for a couple of minutes.
DoI need to get new injectors or could it be something very simple I am a loss

How many miles has it done?
When was the fuel filter last changed?
When was the low pressure fuel pump last changed?

Low pressure fuel pump is in the tank on a 2000 TD4 I believe, possibly one in the engine bay as well. My low pressure fuel pump went at 120,000 but that was the one LR fitted to the later ones in the wheel arch. The behaviour was erratic and eventually the engine would not rev over 2000rpm and the EML light came on.

got no lights on dash

Think I'm with epicuser on this.
Low pressure fuel pump starting to go. The dash light won't come on yet, only when things start to get really bad.

There about £100, depending on which one you've got. I believe yours is in the engine bay, but you may want to search this or wait til someone with your model year posts.

your is next to the fuel filter in the engine bay passenger side ,you may have to take the holder with them in it off it seems sometimes they seem to "weld" them self's in, but you have one in the tank on that year model I would check that first ,as after high mileage they get clogged up and the one in the tank have a gauges filter on and this gets blocked as well .
