Its not that simple, unlike the stereo you need to put in cables, both power and one for the GPS.

It's far simpler to replace your car stereo with a satnav built in whereby the cables are all there and far easier to get to.

If you want the official system fitted, its a professional install jobby.

i thought it's better to fit the official system , because it's suitable with the dashboard ... i saw the pioneer system .. it's great ... but it's so fragile too ... and you had right , for the official system its a professional install jobby ...
i will take my time to search for the best element to fit ....

charbel .

My worry with the official system would be the update discs, LR have moved on since that system and use something completely different in the L322's.

If it was a self updating HD based system, it maybe worth investigating further, but older disc based systems, in my eyes at least, should be avoided.

Also, after using one, they aren't as good as a £100 TOM TOM Go....not that I'd recommend getting and installing one of those.

did you see the link of the gps system vdo

I was speaking with someone last week who fitted a used but original equipment Sat Nav to his 99 vogue. Apparantely no problem to fit. CD lives in the o/s boot compartment as does the antenna and he simply switched the dash unit with his old dash.

so , what he did with the dash ? did he remove only the plastic piece or he did somthing else ? and where did he install the cd reader ?
