Hi, has anyone got any idea why I can only input first tree digits of a postcode
on the sat nav in my Freelander 2. Read the manual but it makes no mention
of this, and its difficult seeing the screen when I'm driving (kidding!!!!!!!!!!)

dunno but the vw sat nav does the same

Hi goonarmy, fiddling with satnav last week, and actually managed to
put full postcode in!!. Dont know how, and haven't been able to do it
again. When (if!) I do will let you know.

You've got it in "dad" mode. It will get you to within a mile of your destination and then get you hopelessly lost. The only answer is to drive around aimlessly for half an hour then ask for directions from a passer by.
....and that's why I appeared to be kerb crawling, your honour.
