Not really a thread for discussion, more for future reference for others.
I've just fitted a NATO hitch to a Dixon Bate plate, I did a bit of research to identify the correct bolt spacing and there is a lot of information out there but much of it can be confusing. It appears that there are two versions of the genuine NATO (Dixon Bate) Landy size hitch (as opposed to the truck size one). One has bolt holes for about 1/2 inch bolts (appears to be the 'common' version) and the other for 14mm bolts (which I have). Rather than trusting what I had read I measured the hitch up with my CNC mill and probe and the centre to centre bolt spacing are 85.75mm x 44.5mm. Please note that this is for the hitch with 14mm bolts, don't know if the 1/2 inch version is the same. Drilled the holes with a 13.9mm drill (for a better fit) and the bolts just dropped in perfectly. Hope the info may help someone in the future.
