If you do find you want the red valve part then this is the ebay number, not sure on delivery charges or timing from OZ though.

Only place i have ever seen them for sale individually and not with a new filter head.

Cheers

Mine came with a genuine LR filter head and filter but they weren’t Pre-fitted. I’ll see what’s on mine at the moment and the diagrams and see where’s best to have it

Yes , has been shown before , I think you will find it originated in the states from the company selling the parts.
But that black thing is not a non return valve by itself, so how much use is it???...LOL

Cheers

Who knows! But mine has the duck valve thing on so it’s some use to me!

This is how it came off, with the black valve on the fuel cooler return

Yep same as mine was, as said try it, if it does not improve the issue swap it over to the LP inlet from the pump and see what happens. Although TBH ,not been following this thread so do not know what issues you are having.
my old worn out ducks bill was slightly open on the ducks bill, the new one was obviously fully closed, which is at it should be.

Cheers

I could have two now I’ve got a spare?

Yeah as long as it allows flow in the correct direction I might give it a try.

Original problem was classic “injector copper washers” but three sets down the problem remains! This is all I can think of. The heads not cracked

I assume you have the pipes in the correct position on the filter housing.

So it was a starting issue then.

Cheers

It wasn’t not starting, just runningike a bag of **** for a bit then fine. Just like copper washers

Well, problem is 100 times better but now the new Bearmach fuel pump I put on the other day which was almost silent is now quite noisy until the engine starts

Update: having had a good run last night the fuel pump was quiet again. However my next problem is that the MAP reading is topping out at 0.72 bar so need to investigate that. Could possibly be caused by the failing alternator? Voltage was all over the place between 11v and 14v, though mostly at the lower end

So , what did you change to make it better?

Cheers

In general or the pump? Didn’t change anything for the pump but generally can only assume the air bleed valve, although I’ve read the filter head/housing can also develop problems so one or the other or both. The real test will be tomorrow once it’s sat a while......

Just hope the alternator hasn’t buggered the ecu, had this problem with the limited MAP reading last year and put it down the aap sensor being wired up incorrectly, perhaps the alternator was already failing by then

Stupid me should have realised when the MAP reading was exactly the same as before, I’d swapped the ecu’s a while ago to see if it was the fuel map causing the overfuelling/rough starting and hadn’t swapped them back over!

I’ve just been up and started it and there was a little white smoke/roughness and the pump is noisey again

How does it start first thing in the morning if before trying to start it, you run the purge process with a fully charged good battery
