I'm having the codes read tomorrow for the dreaded 3 amigos at the garage where I got the Disco from - £35, which he'll knock off the bill if he carries out the repair. This is ok on this occasion, but if/when it happens again, is there anyone in Lancs. who has a nanocom and will read/sort out codes for goodwill and beer tokens :) Don't know unless I ask!

fitting a new wheel hub is not difficult and usual cause of warning light, fitting another £50 modualtor is simple too

Thanks James! Heh I know hubs aren't difficult, I've fitted 3 of the buggers already! :D. However, your knowledge and advice is always appreciated!

Not done a modulator yet; by that do you mean a shuttle valve/ABS pump or is it something else? I'm aware of a wiring mod for the ABS, but not yet how or why as I've not looked into that.

I don't intend having the garage carry out a repair as I beleive most things which trigger the 3 amigos are not that serious a job (as you've already stated), so just paying the 35 quid this time.

An update: I've found a slight amount of play in the N/S rear hub, might be the culprit.... the wobble is however nowhere near the amount I had in a front hub which did NOT trigger the 3 amigos...

Cheers Darren. I may take you up on the offer sometime. (get a second opinion from another reader etc.) Likewise, give us a shout if you need a hand with owt D2 or maybe Land Rover related.

I've got a Nanocom that you are more than welcome to use providing I'm in the country.

Give me a shout anytime

Met up with darrenm last night. Top bloke and all round nice guy! The SVS wiring mod is done, not to mention his Hawkeye not picking up any faults. :tea:

....and the HDC is playing silly beggars. No, not on of the amber amigos, just the green info light. Out playing today and the green light was just flashing and chiming away despite being in low box with clutch on and in gear. I reckon I must have disturbed the hi/lo switch and/or its wiring when I was feeling around looking for the spigot to manually engage the difflock after the TC crapped out on me stuck on a lane in the Lakes... I'll have a shufty underneath this week! Unless there's another reason for HDC thinking I've not selected low box?
