Does anyone have a Nanocom that wouldn't mind having a quick look at the HVAC in my 01 Thor.
Am I correct in thinking that any nanocom would talk to the HVAC or does it need to be one suitable for the Thor/Bosch vehicles?
It has to be for the type of vehicle. Thor, Gems or Diesel. Unless it is unlocked for more than one.
Ah that's a shame, I thought the specific type applied to the engine management side of things etc but the rest of the systems were generic to them all. Nevermind. Thor only then please! I'm happy to bring beer!
The licencing on Nanocom is for all P38 modules except engine, and then a second code for engine type. So if you have a GEMS unlocked Nanocom, then on Thor and Diesel models, you can read all modules OTHER than the engine ECU. Extra licences can then be bought for the other engine types to expand the coverage.
Positive - I hooked my Thor licenced one up to GEMS and EDC vehicles for HEVAC, EAS, ABS etc before I ended up buying the other engine ECU licences at a time when BBS had a good deal going on!
Very kind of you mate and yes quite possibly might take you up on that offer! I live near Lancaster so if you are in Bury its not a million miles away.Hi, i am in north Manchester and have nanocom for p38 dse iif its any good to you
Preston might be closer ...
LZIR map shows DIFFLOCK66 at Chipping near the Trough of Bowland. Says he has TF930 diagnostics which apparently can read P38s. Never heard of it.

Who's got one in Preston? It is much closer to me and easier to get to.
I think that might be the Carsoft i930 looking at its name, I emailed the MFR of that unit and their response was that although it might read basic OBD stuff from the car it won't do anything fancy. A friend of mine has a very accomplished snapon diagnostic machine which will do the Engine, Gearbox, Air Suspension and ABS/TC Wabco ECU but sadly that's all. I even found a local rover specialist with Testbook who basically said it would take them a day to get it setup to read a P38... strangely. Another local range rover "specialist" didn't have anything different to the snapon unit I had already tried - I also lazily asked for a quote on fitting air springs of which the "specialist" replied, "its been a while since we did them so we would need to have a look at it..." Its a peice of **** I said just easier for me to go to work and do what I do and you can do what you do...!
I digress, Nanocom is the way forward I think and I should really buy one just hard to justify with my OH on maternity leave and one wage coming in!
Haha I'll let him offer that up...Think Wammers has one and is up that way. You might have to temp him with the right poison.
