Just got myself a nanocom evolution, so anybody in the Oldham, Tameside, Greater Manchester area, just give me a shout. Ps, has anybody stripped any front leather seats to change heater pads, any info would be welcome, thanks, Marko10.

Marko could you load me a generic remap and also stop my mileage from flashing, I'm in Rossendale thanks Greg

Gregja, would not have the confidence to try a remap at the moment, but if you have the map on a memory card, you are more than welcome to come over and try it, cheers, marko.

Hi Marko its ok I don't mind giving it a go. My car sputtered and cut out today the engine light came on but it restarted straight away. I have a spare ecu and thought about swapping it on top of other little jobs. So it's time time to take you up on your offer :) are you about today?

No probs Marko we all got lives to live :) it turned out to be a dirty crank sensor plug it was caked in crap. Im just looking into the remap as I have an early td5 im not sure if a remap can be flashed straight onto it I'm sure I read somewhere it needs the later type ecu?

From dynahcip:
All Discovery and Defenders built year 2002 onwards can be remapped by connecting our computer equipment directly to the Vehicle diagnostic socket where the engine maps can be copied, modified and re loaded without any mechanical changes to the vehicle.

All Discovery and Defenders built before 2002 need to have the ECU removed from the vehicle and a new chip soldered onto the circuit board inside the ECU. Alternatively we can exchange the old ECU for the later tape ECU which we will recode to you vehicle and then can be remapped in the modern way through the diagnostic socket.
