Thought you guys were good at telepathy !!! Anyone your advice as ever had been good. With all motors off I greased up the quadrant and cogs and worked them back and forth to work the grease in. Then refitted the motors. On ignition cycle I managed to use a screwdriver to encourage the flap to move about another tooth distance. I fitted my new (second hand) hevac control and connected nanocom. Calibrated motors and flaps Hey Presto. All flaps moved as they calibrated. Forced each motor all now performing how they should. I need to put the dash back and then recheck.
I notice the foam around the top of the flaps looks well worn wondering if I should put some thicker stuff in its place so nothing can catch on dash like top if flaps.

Thanks for your solid advice.

Foam degrades fit some new stuff. Only needs to be soft foam about 8mm to 10mm thick.
