I have just been using my new Nanocom for the first time to solve the Three Amigos on my 2000 Reg Disco 2.

The faults read pointed to front right wheel ABS sensor and the ABS relay. Since the relay is £10 and I have read of a faulty relay being common and causing battery discharge (have had that problem too despite a new battery and a charging circuit that has tested fine) i have just replaced that and cleared the codes. Now I have one amigo - just the ABS light on but there are no fault codes reported.

I will now take a look at the front right wheel sensor but I am perplexed that all faults are cleared none returned and yet the ABS light is on? Am I missing something obvious?

Yes I took it back out the shed and ran it up and down the drive a couple of times using the brakes. I assume that should be enough?

I have the right hand front wheel off to check the abs sensor but see the cable dissappears into the hub and there is no room to get my fingers in there so I assume it is caliper off, disc off etc to get in there? I read posts of people removing and cleaning, or reseating the sensor by tapping. Can't see how you can do that without stripping down on the D2?

I have given up for tonight because it is freeeeeeezing in the shed and my lights are not too good. Any tips for the morning gratefully received.

On the D1 you have to drive at over 5mph before the light goes out.
Not sure about D2 did you hit the dizzy heights of 5mph?
