Someone may come and check it for you but i doubt anyone will lend you one. You do need to know how to use them. Modulation has nothing to do with your problem. Modulation is about timing correction. High modulation means your static timing is retarded and low modulation means it is advanced. Your modulation with new chains will be lowish until chains relax a bit and static advance gets near to 0.90mm.

Ok looks like will need to buy one and save up. Will speak to Rick as he has full software nanacom was based I assume this will provide the information I need.

If I source one, I just scan for faults and record the live data for you to have a look at?

You can record live data but not often necessary. It will provide information in the sense that it will report any fault codes that are present and allow you to clear them and see what comes back. It will allow you to see the modulation, the MAP sensor output, needle lift sensor operation etc.

Didn't someone used to lend theirs out for a hefty deposit?
@martyuk was it you perhaps?

I hire out the syncmates for all engine types, but don't hire out my Nanocom, sorry. I am happy to do plug ins for people if they are around where I am in Swindon/Wiltshire and would happily go out to give someone local a hand though.
