Seems a lot to me. Plus ur buying just after the snow in this area. I bet the price went up last week by £1000. Unless u don't like the disco 2. There are loads on eBay for under 3k with similar or less mileage!!

I'm not looking for anything too clever as it won't be an everyday car, something like a 4 wheel guzzi!! (got soul

as a fellow biker i see where your coming from. guzzi`s do look good but if you dont know your italian stuff of old. you`ll be buying a heap of trouble. what with electrics and general finish.
listen to the advice given and hold back a bit:)

It's worth bearing in mind that as most on here know the vehicles inside out and the scene very well that we perhaps don't put much of a value on them. I regularly see people pay £2500 - 3K for Disco's and feel they have a bargain at that price. They are an awful lot of truck still - even though there are lots of issues around the corner. I like to think that it will stay this way so that when I have finished with mine someone will pay me big dolla for it!

Didn't like the look of it as I drove past it, and it had been there for quite a while, so as people have advised, walk on by as there will be another dozen or so round the corner.
I have a pal who is a farmer, he has a D11, and he has had quite a bit of expense with it, also has had to leave it with a mechanic for extended time periods, so that experiance put me off.
Quite happy to work on most things myself, had a RRC up until 2001, 3.9, rebuilt the engine on that when the head gasket went, though the electronics fooled me, couldn't sort out a persistent miss fire.
Cheers

PS, nowt wrong with a guzzi, dead simple (like me) unlike dukes! Have a honda for daily drudgery though.

No mate I know. Guzzi's are great bikes with loads of soul. I had a Duke for a while and had about 20,000kms of fun with it,but now I have a Bonny.
