Found a loose earth wire and cant find its connection point. Its located in the engine bay, just above/at the back of the passenger wheel arch. its a black wire, approx 1mm, fixed to the body, approx 12" long with a fork end. Anybody tell me were to conect it please. TIA

Update, wire has a normal female connector, the fork end was an old connector? Hopefully pic is attached

I don't think Freelanders have any old fashioned connectors like that under the bonnet as standard. I notice on your photo there's a white wire on the right hand side with a spade connector hanging loose too. These may be from previous owners fitting something which has since been removed.

Agreed. It's something that a previous owner has fitted.
 
Yes the white wire is for front spot lights. Will cable tie the black wire out of the way. Thanks for the replies
