I find the air-springs excellent off road. The air-tanks are generally bullet-proof but I guess you get a lot more salt on the roads up there.

Ha No! Just got fed up chasing problems, I suspect the air tank was also on its way out. When the EAS works its fantastic, but just got to the end of my tether with it. plus the springs helped take some punishment off-roading which is why I decided to change. Had the truck been worth more and in better general mechanical condition I might of tried fixing it, plus I didn't do that many motorway miles so handling wasn't really a criteria. - As I remember though the coil conversion wasn't that expensive (Think it was a brit part lift kit) and about the same as the four air springs - this was about 4 years ago mind.
anyways they're just sitting in the shed now.
Best place for them, I take it you mean the springs.;)

no its not complicated and dont call me a numpty no need for that you would not say that to my face i have a family to support and paying out for parts that may go wrong again i.e worn airbags valve block or compressor its far cheaper to fit springs job done no hassle

I stand corrected, yes that was uncalled for .I, personally, don't think that s*****s are the cheaper option. Check the price of a kit. Valve block O ring kit £20 ish, recon compressor £100 sorted. Don't know what the roads are like in your area but I've had to put two on the X type in the last two years. I would say that to your face by the way, I won't post anything on here that I wouldn't say to anybody personally. :)

its ok saying o ring kit ect and recon conpressor but the bags are at a stage that they are leaking aswell i dont use the range rover that much only at weekends to wales and back as i have my own work van as im a builder and dont go off roading so i think springs are the way to go non brainer really and you maybe a nice chap i dont know but anyone calling me a numpty with intent to my face would see the bad side of me that is very rare to see as im a very nice chap no need to call someone a numpty because they have diffrent views on what to do with there motor its a cheap knock around that i try to look after without spending stupid money on

Well considering your original post I was led to believe that your bags were in a good condition, why else would you put manual inflation valves on it? Springs are not a cheap option IMHO. ps, we all have a bad side.;)

In this case, springs are the best option.:) Try a scrappie for a cheap set from another sprung p38, there are lots of them about.;):D
