Hi,

Am I the only one to have this problem?

It not possible to put the fuel pistol in to the automatic mode because it stops strait away. You have to press the leaver very gently to fill it up, so you need 20 minutes to fill the car up with diesel. Even the trick turning it 90• doesn't work anymore. To top all that the fillercap lock didn't want to release yesterday.

Hmmm

Remember another member on here having the same issue a few months ago. Try a search, something might come up relating to your issue.

I remember having the same problem on a diesel Classic a long time ago. It had a breather with a one way valve inline which had failed closed. Not only was it a bugger to fill but the vacuum formed on a long run collapsed the tank. New OWV and a blast of compressed air to reform the tank sorted it.

could be the mis-fuel device has released, look down the filler pipe and if you can see a yellow flap in the middle of the filler you have set off the mis-fuel device.

I'm so scared every time I fill up and it passes £135 I don't worry about the auto fill I hope I break my wrist so I can stop and see my credit cards running off screaming " get a Toyota" started using wife's Mondeo 60 squid gets me further than 140 in range

Only pumps around here there have automatic mode are the lorry diesel ones

are you using the lorry diesel pumps? if so (like i do sometimes) they fill a lot quicker than the tank fumes can escape, and will click the gun off, just a thought.
