We will have to meet up, I'm in Bradfield ! Look out for the 90, hopefully taxing it next week. I spent a couple of years restoring my 2a so know them inside out

Had a week off work to catch up on my 90,

I have painted and fitted my rock sliders

Tidied up the back door, have used camping mat for insulation

I cut a new door card out of 6mm ply and used the Veltrim to cover it

Also used the same technique for the hard top sides, inside

The rock sliders look good, I was thinking of trying to make some for mine, but have never seen a set, what size box section did you use? Cheers.

I used 40mm x 80mm x 4mm, bit of an overkill but I like to build things strong. I'm pleased as to how they came out !

I'm using that for mine, gotta make a new tank to sit in the pickup bed too. Would make it underslung but don't quite have the space on the 88

Great thanks. I am trying to get all the welding done and use up my Argon, so I can cancel the bottle rental. Got a rent free bottle to replace it, no one did rent free here but my mate just started stocking them.

I have done some work to the raptor dash, have more switches than I need but guessing they'll get used at some point, hoping to get some kind of iPad/android tablet to mount on the top right to run memory map or something

Managed to get the snorkel fitted today, really pleased with it, bit fiddly to do inside as originally meant for a 300tdi but I needed one that fixed to the offside

Also have set about making a dog guard to keep the hairy ones in the back

I have bought 2 right angle 6mm pneumatic couplings for the axle breathers, and my father in law got me some 6mm airline from his work. So both axels piped up for about £2.40 !!

Have also done the timing cover breather and planning to extend the gearbox breathers too.

Made a start on boxing in the Eberspacher night heater and the back of the 6x9 speakers. Cut out all the poorly installed lap belts in the back as well

Nice done :)) do you know a breather kit for series 3??

When I put axel breathers on my series I took one of the old breathers into a local hydraulics/pneumatics suppliers and they matched up the thread ( not sure if its the same as a 90/110 which is 1/8 BSP ) I then bought some plastic pipe at the same time, whole lost cost under £10...... Must cheaper than buying a kit from someone like paddocks etc

Had a good day today, done some more lining in the back, used some 6mm ply that I had left over from our horsebox
