I built my old V6 over a couple of years as I was going to do the Britpart Freelander Challenge. However, things quickly overtook me and work dictated I could never get the time off when needed to compete. I sold the V6 as the after spending a good few grand, the autobox started playing up and I'd got my silver Td4 and acquired the rally car in my avatar.I'd also started building a Discovery/Freelander 2 hybrid.I'm not well off so the hybrid and the V6 went. However, I'm now glad and very proud that it's ended up in the hands of the guy's from Race to Recovery. As a supporter of Help for Heroes I can think of no better to end up using my old motor as it was intended than these brave guys .
