Well just buy the stats listed in the thread and replace them you will need to repair the Broken heating elements which are causing the issue its a simple fix/upgrade mine are nice n toasty
 
Wammers you are quite right but if I have the seats in bits then I would hate to find that the stat was broken and have to take them apart again. I would guess that the genuine Land Rover bits are not cheap.
 
Well its not exactly a new upgrade other peeps have been doing it for a long time I'm just one of many following in the foot steps of more worthy people. So far no reported problems from me or others.

Don't know that you can buy genuine Land rover stats on their own. But you can certainly buy stats of the same value for little money. Easy enough to test your stats whilst the seat is stripped. Personally i would not increase the temp. Heated seats are to take the chill off not for frying eggs on.

Well on the drive back from the west country yesterday I had mine on and so did my 86 year old mother in law bless her she said the warm seat was the best thing ever for her osteoporosis and bad back.......
