So I decided Scratchy just needs too much work to be viable.
So last Saturday I got to thinking - if I get shot of Scratchy what would I want. Well, I was born in '71 so a '71 109 truck cab would be nice. I looked in the for sale section and Matt was advertising this.
After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing, Matt kindly taking more photos and taking the old'n out for a test drive for me - I hired a transporter truck and made the 500 mile round trip to bring the old Landy down to the south coast.
Here it is in Norfolk - Dorset photos to follow tomorrow.
So, here's my list of fings to do:
- New shockers
- Oil up the springs
- Change the oils and coolant
- Wire brush and paint the chassis
- Swap the bumper, wheels, seats and anything else I can off-of Scratchy (my yella 110)
- Think about a paint job, although I'm sure loads more will come up before I get anywhere near that!
