generally light bars glare the bonnet here cos of the winter mist and weather.You may find it more suitable to have some good front lamps....
 
You could use a roof bar instead of a light bar, should give you more clearance underneath for the light's.
 
Like this you mean? Don't forget fitting a roof rack does create quite a bit of drag affecting your mpg.

yeah thats what i meant, i was not sure at first, but it looks good on that one..........not keen on doing less mpg tho, doesnt seem to do much without one on

Yeah that's a very nice Defender ... as for a roof rack it'll reduce mpg by around 10%, but considering our Landy's are about as aerodynamic as a brick it's not too much of a drop. I did notice the drag of the wind when going above 50mph though:eek:
 
ive bought one off ebay, just gotta wire spots up now...........well i wont actually be doin that lol, am not that good
