Dave, and all, Yep, after spending 18 hours in a car on the journey from hell and then come back, climb in my pride and joy and die on a speed bump, I think we can safely say that all thing and not just my freelander felt the love that day.
OK, QUICK UPDATE....
After dragging it away from work, the kind AA man wired up his box of tricks. confirmed that it was fuse 6 to the ECU was shorting all the time which in turn wasnt allowing the heater plugs to start. Am going away on Monday for a week, so its going to have to sit and wait till I get back to have a look.
@Dave, cheers mate, Have had a good look round the engine bay and cant see any obvious breaks / wear points or any visible kinds of damage. Will have to stick it into a main LR dealer for a proper diagnostic (pound signs flashing before my eyes)
Will post back once I know more
