I'm not blind to their failings...my bank balance is testiment to that for sure!! :D:D:D

But I just don't care...I have a wonderful Girlfriend who puts up with the running costs, she drives a small cheap to run car, I don't live in a big house, and as I have mentioned before - aslong as I am careful with my pot of money when it comes to the inevitable repairs...we can live in harmony together...

I am able to DIY most of my repairs, I have a good boss who understands the 'spontanious' day off needed to fix something...and if the vehicle is off the road for a few days, he is willing to lend me one of our pool vehicles (one of which is a Defender 90! which I usually go for) for a few days while I sort it out!

I go into Range Rover ownership well and trully 'eyes wide open' and I urge others to do the same...I love Range Rovers and am a big fan of the LR marque...but yes they will tax your paitience and your bank balance...but I wouldn't have it any other way :D
That's marque blindness, similar to alcoholism, you know it's bad but you just can't give it up:rolleyes::D:D:D

:pThere are always 12 Steps to everything...I see you even have a 'version' of the Serenity poem in your sig...

I just need to pay more attention to step 4 - but If I have to write an 'inventory' of all the things wrong with Range Rovers and their ownership, I may just start drinking to excess...(considering I don't drink anyway - I could have a glass of wine and to me that would be to excess :D)

You call it blindness - I call it ownership :D:D:D

I just think that no one in their right mind would buy a Range Rover second hand if they had the cash to buy a reliable vehicle:)

That is true....

Maybe I wouldn't be in my right mind, but even if I had the money for a more reliable vehicle...I would still go for a Range Rover...the 4 year old me would kick me if I decided on anything else....

Dyed-in-the-wool Land Rover/Range Rover fan.....can't change it, wouldn't want to....

Maybe you can call it Vehicle-aholisum, so here goes:

My Name is Anthony and I am a Range Rover fan......;)

It's sad, your mind was warped at a very young age and you have never recovered.

I had a similar experience when very young, I fell in love with the Austin Atlantic, primarily because it had 3 headlights:eek:
Fortunately for me, it ceased to exist before I was old enough to own one:) As a result I never formed a marque attachment, my aim when younger was to own as many different cars as possible, not all at the same time of course:D:D:D

I too was infected by love of the marque due to circumstance. I was taught to drive in a LWB SeriesII and III. From then the attachment was formed and have been driving them in one form or other since and the moment I saw an L322 I wanted one. I could have bought jap or any of the others. All of which would have been younger models etc but they did not look or feel like the L322 and quite simply they were not what I wanted. So I will also stand up and say My name is mud in many places and I love my L322. :p
