Hi lads, just purchased my very first off roader!!!
Shes a disco 1 on a n plate, payed a bit to much at 1700 but shes got 2 months mot and wil get a further 12 months once that's up so I thought 1700 with all the mods its got.

She drives perfect, no bangs, rattles ect, starts first turn of the key every morning so I think iv got a good un...

Like I say shes my first 4x4 but I'm a engineer by trade so altho iv never worked on them I'm always fixing motorbikes, cars so shouldn't be to much of a jump..

Obviously theirs anfew places wheir she needs welding but not bad enuf to fail a mot so can wait till next yr when I plan to strip her down and make her up to my high standars! Lol

Anyway I'm sure iv bored you lot silly by now so il let the pics do the talking....

Any and all comments welcome, good or bad I dnt mind, iv got thick skin!!! Seems you need it round here!!!! Lol

Might wanna turn those roof lights the other way if you're planning on laning. That roof bar is designed to have the lights underneath.

Nice intro and nice Disco. :)
:welcome2:

Def think the bottom half needs re-painting to match the top though. :D

welcome :D yep got to thw warwicks thread it's almost as ****e as the essex thread which is nowhere near as ****e as the herts thread ;)

1st post, with pics too :D. Awesome. nice motor, I don't think it was too much, considering the cost of getting mods to that stage.

Thanks for the warm welcom everyone!!! I sure do feel popular today!!! Lol
Now I would respond to everyone individually but I'm not very computer savvy so cnt work out how to mulit quote jst yet plus I'm jst a lazy git!! Joke joke...

So sorry to everyone that's left a post, I'm not ignoring ya!!...

With regard to the lights on roof I did notice most of you had them underneath but I find I can angle them better when their up top, not very good when it comes to off roading I suppose tho, might get knocked about, is this why you lot have them underneath? ??

I forgot to mention in then first post what model my disco is, its a 2.5 turbo diesel with auto box, its got full electric windows all round and has even got cruise control! Lol so have I got the se model? Doesnt say on logbook and didnt come with any owners manual ect..

Right then time to ask some noob quesyions! Apologies in advance! Lol

This job on my list is to fix the heater as it only works on number 2 setting which is pathetic, I get more hot air out my ass!!!! Hahaha
Is it common on discos for the heater matrix to pack up? wil have to go grab myself a manual as I haven't a clue wheir the heater box is... is it easy to get to???

Thanks in advance. ?..clive

heaters a pain in the arse to change whole dash out I'm afraid

Your lucky having if already fitted out for you, and ready to go.
Is it an ES, well only if you also have leather heated seats, wood dash trim, twin sunroofs + other stuff etc auto boxes and cruise control were an option electric mirrors and windows are standard.

:welcome2: to the Forum
