Hi there. i'm looking to buy my first landrover. i'm wanting a defender 90 and want to spend around £2500 - £3000. any advice on things to look out for when buying an old lany would be apprieciated.

Excessive smoking when running Vapors/steam from the fillercap and rusty chassis. Everything else is an easy repair.

Get a 200 TDI or 300 TDI. Dont get a post 1998, because it has a TD5, then from 2000 onward, a really gay dashboard with **** you dont need on it.

Ok I'll agree that the best is a tdi, but how does a dashboard take it up the dirt road?
