hi there every one I've got my first Land Rover at a great price of free! It's a discovery 1 3.9 v8 premium that's been sat for 3 years. So as I get the hang of this I will upload some pics but things I've done already are
.thermostat leak
.exhaust down pipe leak
.chassis repair next to catalytic converter
.body mount repair to body rear crossmember
.replaced complete rear crossmember on body
.new tyres x4 insa turbo Dakar 245/70/16
.new terrafirma +2 medium duty lift kit (actually not fitted yet but when I get a few hours spare)
And the list is still rolling but should be ready for the road early in march I hope as I want to go play off road

Hello,

This is as I got it

Yeah mine was a bargain but I did know the Peale that wanted it gone as they are both getting on and prefer there st20 mondo now and just said they wanted off there drive so I said I would take it away and it's worth saving as it's only done 69thousand and something plus being a premium its leather seats and DVD players in headrests and I've known this landy for about 8 years and they only used it as a car so not abused off road

More work tonight but only one corner done so far but the start of fitting my new suspension it's terrafirma pro sport median duty +2 inch lift.

Small update, both rears fitted. I'd be loving the rake it's got on a hotrod with +2 rear and standard front but I want this thing to sit level when finished or nearly level when the boot has a little weight. Oh and been painting behind stuff before refitting as one day I will clean and paint the whole chassis

yeahh i got a d1 v8 too mine was only 200 ;););)
Ahh you must be the other new guy with a v8 that I got told about well nice to meet you. Can't go wrong with that price although o still like how much I paid for mine...... free lol but it's my first Land Rover and I can't wait to play in the mud with it as all my vehicles have been road only apart from trials bikes.

Front suspension out and all ground down ready for paint and then I can assemble when the new front shock tower securing plates get here ( I broke a stud lol ) although I'm getting used to it happening on this thing haha
