Well had the Disco a week and already got the modding bug ;D Went to Woodlands last weekend and totally loved it so thought it best i start getting prepared for next month ;)
First two mods are 2 " lift and of course off road tyres
Tyres were fitted yesterday by Des who at the same time modified the injector pump to give me a little more power ;D ;D
He also gave the front bumper a little trim so the tryes did not rub
Then today we did the springs, big thanks to Mark aka Wrecker and Pete aka plant pot pete !!!! Who helped to do it, starting off in daylight and finishing in the rain and dark ??? Top lads ;D ;D ;D ;D
The truck as it sat on bigger wheels ;D 235/85/16 so nice and tall

i was told its fur when yu go off roading - if yu need to reverse out of summat - yu aint gonna fill yo egg sauce full of crud. whether thats right or not - someone else will confirm.

Daft's right they get yer eggsauce out of the way and stop ya from snapping the bugger orf if ya smack the backend down on summat. or have to reverse

blurry eck pikey, first OD - now you - i might start believing my own propaganda and fink i know summat .

Yep thats right, easy mod to do as well.

I will be doing mine tommorrow so will take some pics and put them up for all to see

when you fitted the lift kit did you have to adjust anything or was it just a case of swapping the springs over as i am wanting to do the same
thanks

Loony Landy, I'm intrigued...you've only had yer motor a week but you seem to have had a million probs - are they all sorted? You've had erratic running, cutting out, oil light on, loss of oil, lumpy running, blocked injectors that maybe need cleaning, turbo seals gone, sedimenter blocked, injection pump knackered, just from reading through yer last few posts. Sorry if I missed anything, there may be more. How did you manage to sort these probs out? Great that you did, and have now put yer new wheels on and modded the bodywork etc.

The main problem was a split fuel hose under the bonnet which was causing the truck to run lumpy and stall, the oil was my fault when it stalled i checked levels and the oil had not settles so i topped it up a little too much  Turbo is fine we checked it :) injectors were fine, sedimentor and fuel filter checked/replaced. The injection pump was not as fault as we thought so that is fine too.

As for the wheels and suspension /body mods i dont waste time doing things :D:D:D:D

Looks good :D

Dont forget the extended brake flexi hoses will you

Especially if your offroading it ...... dont wanna go popping a hose on axle articulation do ya ;)

Moved the exsisting brake line bracket through 90 degrees to extend them but will fit longer one when i do a body lift :D

Its a start but work in progress
