i think your rear shock bottom bushes are wrong, looks like the washers are up the wrong way, i could be wrong as i cant see the picture great

Been realy busy lately but have managed to get truck MOT and tax and fully insured now. All lights working and installed some recovery flashers just for the hell of it. Lol

Off to the carpenter to get wood work sorted in the back on Saturday.

If I was installing insulation in the back between wood work and outer skin what would people use?......
I was thinking 25mm celatex board from wickes. Any good?...

Cheers.

Hi all been really busy in the months running up to xmas not much done to the defender. Fitted some tree defectors and got myself a new reg!!!
Toy lander coming on slowly.
And I got myself a sankey. New project for the new year. Got to be doing soming will only get board. Lol.

Deffo not legal and banned at most P&P sites. & if you've just bolted em to the wings you'll probably just rip em out or fook the wings if you have em on whilst greenlaning.

Well I'm one for saving money if I can so Made myself some 2 inch lift blocks. And got myself a set of -2" rear shock mounts also. Already have fitted longer brake lines etc so fitting Saturday fingers crossed. So in total should be a 4 inch lift if you include the shocks and springs already fitted.
Also got hold of some 15 inch tall 10 inch wide modular steel wheels which will be fitted one day but tyres are a fortune! Lol.

Great job on this project! How does it drive with the 4" lift?? Are you running stock prop shafts?

Runs fine at the moment.
Yes running stock props but I believe I need to fit longer ones?... If I'm corect. Haven't looked into it yet. Lol

Also made up some new parts for the side body corner mounts. As mine were rotten!!!!

Your rebuild is top drawer, mate. Great talent, well done. :)

Can you remember the diameter studding you used and how long you cut them for the corner mounts? Did you put the rubber bushes in? Mine were rotten too and I haven't been able to find them in my boxes of bits. I think I might have accidentally thrown them out. :(
Are those made up washers with the three lugs turned up standard? I can't remember them on mine.
