Been busy with the toy defender chassis today.

Front and rear axle fitted
Steering all sorted out.

Got to fit up the wiring and pedals etc before chassis get painted. Brother is working on body ideas this week. Will be made out of metal hopefully not wood.

Forgot to say fitted a second alternator to the real defender lol

Also made up some new parts for the side body corner mounts. As mine were rotten!!!!

Also fitted some washer jets which mount to a wipe blade from another car. Not sure this will work yet but fingers crossed. At least with these the water will follow the sweep.
Now just need to fit the winscreen lol.

And made these up. Tub to outer wing supports. Made from 20mm thin wall box. Flatten the ends and rivet them on job done and much stronger than before. These will be painted and Schultz over.

My new fuse box before I fitted it. Lots of new bits going on. Reasons for the second alternator and leisure battery.

Nice job I need to do same on mine. as the sides on mine flap around ,worst than Hilary Clintons p*ssflaps

The body work is all done by a friend. ( nato green) The Schultz and black under side all done by myself. This nato green does scratch really easy I guess this is normal? Seams like it.

Ah fair enough. It shouldn't scratch that easy. But then It depends what paint type he's used?

Been busy fitting panels today. And yes it is sat on steel wheels. How else will I make it fit in the garage. Lol.

Was sat as low as she could go! Lol lol

Been busy today lacquered the whole truck the best I can in a double garage. Lol
Looks much better I think. And definitely helps the paint.

Also my brother did some more work to the toy defender. Mocked up front panels etc.

All ready for a hot weekend so fingers crossed will get round to painting my roof. Not sure on time to get it fitted also but we will see. At least the suns out !!!! Will post pictures tomorrow if it gets done.

First time since I lacquered the landy I got it outside. Don't look to bad but the sun light shows a few patchy areas but not bad.
I also managed to get the roof painted black. Almost run out of paint but just got it covered. Lacquered that as well. Left in the sun to dry.

love this thread. Not usually a fan of those bonnet pods but it looks f00king cool on there. Just ordered some satin NATO green for my disco.

I must admit when I was fitting it up and it was white and the bonnet was blue I nearly took it off again. But now it's all painted up I think it's the muts nuts. Haha.
