Help please, trying to get radio working. Done a search, found and carried out this-

Removed and reinserted fuse 1 and 8
turn the ignition key to first position then turn on the radio ... and keep this situation for roughly 6 to 8 hours ... - then the lcd displays " code in " .
enter code then press the up tuner button.
Nothing, the code just sits there, have I overlooked anything?

Well . . . . . .

You could give us a couple of clues;
what radio?
what make?
what age?
has it ever worked?
how long ago?

Sorry for being vague, on a 97 P38
Radio stamped land rover and has a six changer CD in the boot compartment.
Radio will switch on (power to the radio) flat battery when I came back from the States, I left the car unlocked in my garage. Managed to start it and lost a few window functions but thanks to the help from you guys all working fine apart from the radio/CD player.

Fair bet then that its a Clarion PU9836A like mine - especially if it has "RDS EON DIVERSITY" printed below the lcd screen.
