Cheers mate.

Which winch have you got on your double cab? I went for Goodwinch Goldfish 12000 with Dyneema Bowrope and I've not complaints so far.

I thought about changing my two bumper mounted spots for yellows too (spooky!) but I have them come on with main beam and I can't be arsed to change it - bloody useful for main beam though as the standard ones are pants.

It's a 10000lb Firstfour branded one. I haven't looked closely at it yet as its buried into the grille and have been just busy playing with the 110 in general since I got it at the weekend.

I used the winch earlier in the week for pulling down some stacked bales of hay. Seems pretty good. Enough to pull the front of the 110 sideways anyway on muddy hardcore as was winching at an odd angle for the first couple.

Getting a de-cat section off a friend at the weekend and a stronger hitch as the one on it has me biting my lip every tug in case it strains the rear cross-member!

Bigger intercooler then in a few weeks all going to plan if I have some monies spare :)

Lovely looking machine and the picture showing the transformation are sweet.

Which brings me to my question, Picture 6 and 7 shows it sitting on Boost alloys and Hankook Dynapro,s. This is the combination i,m going for next month i just wondered how you found the handling and grip with that set up?

Were you running it standard on 265/75/16,s and did you have any issues?

I,m jealous as ma 110 aint anywhere near yours!:(

I actually bought it from the previous owner recently so all the credit thus far goes to him in terms of whats done to it

I'm starting to add my own spin on it from next week though :D

I can ask him how he found the tyres though. Seems pretty good on the 33x12.5s with them anyway.

Few more of my own pics today.

I've a video of how that car ended up like that too! :D

Added a few bits in the last week or so :)

Upgraded the brakes to EBC discs and pads, fitted a de-cat pipe, bigger intercooler and then upgraded the steering bars and fitted new radius arms and panhard to get the suspension working properly as the compromised geometry due to the lift was annoying me :p

Stainless exhaust manifold now next as I've warped the standard one and then either a VGT or lockers :)

Few old pics I have from a few months ago on recovery duty at a drift trackday and some offroading in March and at the beach last weekend

Nice piccys but I gotta say bush wires leading up to a couple of jerry cans make as much sense as an ashtray on a motorbike

Haha, the jerry cans are off it now and only really used for bringing my cars to trackdays etc or when I need the cans for petrol or diesel.

Although... the jerry cans can't really be damaged by bushes but the windscreen can ;)

They were on it since I got it and only really for show really. Often comtemplate taking them off

They're illegal for road use........not that many seem to get picked up for it.

Though I hate to think what an insurance company would have to say after a prang

They are listed as mods under my insurance policy anyway along with everything else.

They could do a good bit of nasty damage in a prang but the bonnet is higher than most cars on the road and I don't think the bush wires would be the main concern of any pedestrians if they get got hit by the front of it :p... Touch wood!

Other than having lots of fun with it lately laning, I got a VNT turbo and Alisport exhaust manifold so must fit them soon and also got a set of four Recaro LSes to change the interior to a 2+2. Have the front ones fitted. Must make up brackets for the rear next and make up the new center console.

Next thing on the shopping list will more than likely be some stronger halfshafts or Salisbury axles when I start playing with the extra power

what about Alisport intercooler? Lets use know about the exhaust manifold, it looks like the mutts nuts. Any type of locking diffs?

Yep, have the intercooler and silicone hoses already. I can't keep standard manifolds from warping on it so decided to get the Alisport one. I assume the standard ones keep warping due to it being tuned a fair bit and also do a good deal of heavy work towing etc.
Looking forward to seeing the difference with them fitted though :)

Don't have the locking diffs fitted yet but its on the cards. I have a tru-trac built up in a diff for the front but want to get a locker for the rear before I fit it as I doubt an LSD on the front with nothing on the back would feel very nice.

Contemplating swapping to Salisbury axles or at least for the rear though before I get a Detroit locker for the back or may even get a pair of ARB lockers instead... I'm not really sure what would suit better

How do you not have a salisbury in the rear now? All long wheelbase defenders upyo 2003 i think had salisbury axles fitted.

Is yours post 2003? If so, it will have the P38 diff in it which is stronger still.
