Retired - Living the dream
Over the last week have been getting the Land Rover ready for its MOT.

Replaced the offside wheel hub, after reading up on how to do it, the one thing I never look forward to is seized and rusty nuts or bolts, a few months ago I treated myself to a set of these

and for good measure also bought

And the base set has space in the box for the expansion set, which allows you to keep the set altogether.

Didn't use any of these at the time but when I saw the bolt heads on the hub, decided against using anything from my socket set. First time I have used the extractors and must say well impressed, no slipping no mess they grip the bolt head and I had the 4 bolts off in jig time.
Had also ordered a set of anti roll bar bushes for good measure and used the extractor again and they didn't disappoint.
Other plus is that no damage was caused to the bolt heads and after a clean up were reused.
So if you have a few spare quid I would recommend you get a set. Only negative is the are for use with a 3/8th drive.

Yes got the irwin set and the additional set, and then purchased a bigger set up to 24 mm, would not be without them now!

I have the irwin bolt removers, but never got them to work successfully (prolly using them wrong).

I gave up in the end and just used the angle grinder.
