The 90 failed its MoT today on a worn trackrod end. I took it in at 9 am. I phoned at 11 to hear it had failed and that they had ordered a new TRE for me and could fit it today. I would normally do that kind of thing myself, but it was raining and I thought "oh, let them get on with it". By 2 pm the truck was fixed, re-tested and ready for collection, and the bill for the TRE was £66 including parts. If I'd done my usual thing, I would have ordered the parts today, then waited for delivery, then waited for a dry day to crawl underneath, then cursed and sweated and banged my knuckles until it was done. And then had to re-present the truck for a re-test. Waving a bit of plastic and then waiting a couple of hours was far easier. I hope this doesn't become a habit.
