Due to recent wiring jobs, I now have about 4 separate wires coming from the battery live, not including the main red cable feed going to the engine fuse box.

As such, I'm looking to tidy these wires up so that there's only the main red and one other wire (that goes to some kind of connector block) both connected to battery live. Does anyone know a name of a multi-way connector/splitter that can handle this? Tried ebay, but can't seem to nail the exact search term.

Thanks in advance.

What are the other wires for, and do they need to go to the battery?

I think the norm is to have a big red wire from battery to the starter, and either another from battery to the engine fuse box or one from the starter to the engine fuse box.

Maybe your other two wires could be fed from the engine fuse box (possibly even fused) rather than straight to the battery.

  • 1st wire is unknown.
  • 2nd wire goes to purpose built ignition switched relay with 4 way blade fuse holder mounted to inside battery box
  • 3rd wire is 12V live directly to rear of stereo (radio channel presets)
  • 4th wire (with inline fuse) goes to rear work lamps
  • 5th wire (not fitted yet) will eventually power front spots, although perhaps this time I can run a feed (with inline fuse) directly from the alternator?

If we were talking of large cables for an extra battery, winch, jump socket, etc I would go for summit like this....

If they are for lowish draw accessories as seems to be the case I would run a single wire to an additional fusebox like this.....
