Hi All

Just registered and would welcome any views/ideas.

Purchased a 2nd hand 2001 Td4S beginning of April. Within last month been back to dealer twice on low loader, last time a new starter motor and battery fitted .

Current problems:

1st - When starting engine would turn over but would not start. Left for few minutes and try again then would start. Today it finally gave in and taken back to dealer.

2nd - the amber warning light for traction control/ hill descent started to come on when braking. Now remains on all time

Any ideas - wife threatening to kill me as my idea to buy car ?

Many thanks you could save a marriage

Paul

2nd, most likley the switch on the brake pedal, may be adjustable but not too expensive if it neesd replacing. A fairly common problem, you'll find lots of threads about it

1st, fuel pump or filter. Fuel pumps, you've got 2, 1 in the tank, 1 in the front wing area. Do a search on fuel pumps and you'll find sheds...

HI everyone,

two fuel pumps later have the veh back, dealer still not sorted out the tc light coming on but if it is just a switch will leave it for now as the veh has had a new battery, starter motor and new pipe to turbo so far since march. anything else goes wrong with the car the wife threating to throw it off a cliff with me in it.

thanks for all the advice regards paul
