hi guys , back from my holiday an got the rear diff mounts done and the egr bypass along with all my filters changed an the modified bmw crankcase filter so well chuffed, well its my birthday next week an my Mrs is getting me a decent car stereo an thought id treat my self to some silicone hoses so thought and some mudflaps but i wasn't sure where to get them for as they seemed pretty expensive at £70 on ebay as i wasn't sure if i could just get the cheaper universal ones but wasn't sure as i want to get some side steps soon too an read you must have mudflaps to have the side steps fitted so obviously want to get the right ones, anyone know any cheaper places? Also on a sidenote what are the best wind deflectors, the ones with tape on the ones that fit in?

ohh one final thing before i forget does anyone know anywhere cheaper for the silicone hoses as for the full set on ebay its £125

Just a side note im 32 on the 26th in getting old lol, thanx in advance guys id seriously be list without all your sound advice , thanx again, rich

why must you have mud flaps on to fit side steps ? but I have them on try to get the proper ones as they look much better search some scrap yards.

Only reason to have mudflaps on for sidesteps, is to stop them getting covered in sludge so there not slippy. The side steps fix under the car, into 4 holes on each side.
As teddywood says, find the proper ones. They do look much better.
Have fun
Mike

Hi
I have the stick on ones,They have been on for two years without problems and still look new and they don't interfere with the windows going up and down.

I have Heko wind deflectors fitted. They came with the car. In the dark they feel like they make the A pillars about twice as wide which makes navigating city streets much harder, so you have to be really careful not to hit pedestrians and other vehicles. Mine also cover the inside edge of the near side door mirror.

Overall, not impressed. The only good thing about them is they stop the rain coming in if you have the window open a little.

Cheers guys, ill get the stick on ones then, regarding the mudflaps it says when i go to order the side steps to make sure i have mudflaps first? Wasn't sure why to be honest lol

I was going to get the nice silicone hoses now but unfortunately looks like that will have to wait as the vcu will be done this week instead hopefully.

Also got a question about the heavy steering? It feels so heavy an in wondering if i need to replace my power steering fluid pump?
