@flat , you have a good point there, the V5's worth a bag of sand so I wonder how long it'll be before being rebuilt and up for sale @£30k?
 
My 1977 101's army reg number is 72GJ27. That bonfire's is MU84AA. When did they swap number-letter-number to letter-number-letter? Was there a specific date or does the MOD use both?
 
The changeover is said to be 1993.

But I can find examples of things like pedestrian operated snowploughs with the reversed registration back in 1990 & traditional KK registrations as late as 1995.
 
End of an era for this old Landy. Sad to see it go up in flames, but hopefully its parts will live on in another project. Cheers to its service!
